I am new to amateur satellite (this month) and signed up for AMSAT (this week ) and made my first contact Monday. I am excited by the camaraderie of this group, and touched by the kindness shown after John Heath's passing...I am looking forward to this new frontier for me and I hope to make contact with each of you in the group in the coming years.

The bird was crowded and I didn't really know what I was doing. The second QSO later in the year was a bit more of a ragchew.
