Chasqui-1 was launched by hand during a spacewalk from the International Space Station on 18 August 2014 by Oleg Artemyev and Alexander Skvortsov.
Chasqui-1 is a 1U Cubesat developed by the National University of Engineering, Peru. Chasqui-1 is the first Peruvian satellite and was developed using commercially available components.
Chasqui-1 carries on board two cameras, one visible light and one infra-red, and an amateur radio payload.
