Welcome Mike!

That 817 is a fine portable satellite rig with the right antenna. I recently 
made a QSO on SSB from Alaska to Michigan using an 817 and an Arrow antenna 
on AO-7.

I suspect KI4HXT, Robert will be talking to you soon, he lives down that 
way.
