K4FEG calculated that AO-7 should go into an eclipse cycle over the
South Pole on May 2nd. When the satellite loses all power, it resets
in Mode B. During the eclipse cycle, which will last 9 weeks or so, it
should be in Mode B every day. So, it should be in Mode B on May 3rd,
but there's really no way to tell for sure until that day.
During April, AO-7 will be in Mode B on odd numbered days (it switches
around 0300Z), so it should be available for passes on the 9th and
SO-50 works just fine at night.
