many thanks to David a half a world away for pointing out the "obvious".   I really must simplify my evolving interconnecting rats nest of cables.  Thanks to all who sent advice.

Sounds like your RS-232 cable became faulty.

Further details. Rotor controller will not talk with computer. Rotors work manually, still not working with second computer, tried park, not go,, satpc32 using a serial port not virtual, satpc32 works the doppler fb on the 910H. It worked yesterday, however I "rearranged" some equipment in the shack, no go after rearrangement. Not sure what the ^%%$#$% I did. Suggestions and some guidance please.
