Hello  Bent,

Do you at least share the footprint with the other station?

I suspect that the operator had the PL tone ON so his packets were being repeated through the FM repeater. I think that would make the packet look like it came directly to your station, without a path.

I understand that packet operators should turn their PL tone OFF in order to prevent this.

Congratulations to Nader for uploading three messages successfully! I am interested in his Wisp/MSPE TNC settings. For example, what the Retries time was set to, TxDelay, etc.

I have several times observed some oddly addressed frames from HO-68 as
witnessed by this frame dump from this morning (conf

UI BJ1SA-12 -> BBSTAT* P/F:0 PID: F0
Open BJ1SA-12:1

RR BJ1SA-12 -> UA9UIZ* N(R)=0 P/F:1
DISC BJ1SA-12 -> UA9UIZ* P/F:1
DM UA9UIZ* -> BJ1SA-12 P/F:1              <======
UI BJ1SA-12 -> BBSTAT* P/F:0 PID: F0
Open BJ1SA-12:0

UI BJ1SA-12 -> BBSTAT* P/F:0 PID: F0
Open BJ1SA-12:0

The odd one is the one I have marked. It appears to sent from UA9UIZ
which means that I should have received it directly from UA9UIZ. This is
very, very unlikely as UA9UIZ is located some 4500 km from here
according to http://da.aprs.fi/?call=UA9UIZ.

Have any of you observed something similar?
