Just wanted to pass on the results of my message to the IOTA Manager.

While he seemed to like the idea of an IOTA Satellite award they are in the middle of a software roll-out that will manage a lot of the IOTA QSO checking in the future. That software took the rules that were in effect three years ago into consideration. Adding satellites to the rules now would only delay the roll-out of that software.

I have posted the entire message at <http://eric-sparks.blogspot.com/2007/08/official-iota-satellite-award-petition.html> (scroll down towards the end). If you would like to add your name to the petition please do so. I think it is important to keep this idea alive and not let it die.
